Melanie Patrick – Clinic director & Senior site lead  MCSP, AACP, HPC

Staff Melanie PatrickMelanie graduated from Liverpool. She worked as a lead NHS clinician in outpatients before establishing Woolton Physiotherapy in 1991. She has continued to expand her expertise gaining membership of The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, Acupuncture Association (AACP),British Occupational Hygiene society and has a Diploma in injection therapy.  Melanie uses her specialist skills across a wide range of conditions and has an exciting and varied client base. Melanie manages the  provision of Physiotherapy Services for local industry, councils, sporting events and corporate businesses across the North West. Her main concern is to maintain her 3 Physiotherapy sites as clinics of excellence where patients receive the highest standard of treatment with professionalism, care  and respect.

Joanne Ford – Specialist Physiotherapist & Paediatric lead  MCSP, AACP, HPC

Staff Joanne FordJo graduated from Salford University. She is a senior paediatric physiotherapist at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital working in orthopaedic trauma, burns and plastics. She has worked part-time at Woolton Physiotherapy for the past twenty  years. She has taken her skills voluntarily to Nepal and is a regular lecturer in her area of expertise. She has a varied client base and a massive part of our story!

Chris Burford  – Senior Physiotherapist & site lead Formby, MCSP, AACP, HPC

Chris qualified from Bristol University in 1997 and worked in the NHS for 12 years before coming to work for Woolton Physio full-time in 2010. He  is a specialist in Musculo-skeletal, neurological physiotherapy and practices acupuncture. He has completed post graduate training in work place assessments and ergonomics. He provides our services at our Formby clinic, within local industry and local borough councils. He attends regular courses to maintain his professional standards as well as assisting in-house training and staff development. When not working he loves going camping with his family in his lovely camper van!

William Seaford – Senior Physiotherapist, MCSP, AACP, HPC

Staff William SeafordBill graduated from Bradford University 2001. He works within the NHS and part time at Woolton and Victoria Physiotherapy Clinics. He is a senior clinical trainer in the NHS

Bill has practical experience in a wide range of physiotherapy skills including Mulligan, Maitland and Cyriax techniques. He has experience across a broad spectrum of conditions including spinal, shoulder, lower limb and TMJ dysfunctions. He enjoys working with patients no matter how challenging and/or complex their conditions. He is a free diving world champion and great guy!

Antonio Barber Buades – Senior Physiotherapist, MCSP, AACP, HPC

Antonio graduated in Physiotherapy and Sport Science in  Madrid, Spain in 2013.  prior to graduating he worked as a football team strength and conditioning  trainer, coach and a personal trainer. He came to England in 2016 to experience living in another country and to develop professionally.  He has completed several post grad courses has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation particularly post traumatic injury. He really enjoys getting to know his patients and ensuring that his management plan is tailored to their unique needs. He is passionate about the direct impact that physiotherapy can have on the quality of life of his patients. He still loves football and is a big Real Madrid fan.

Diana Satalova – Senior Physiotherapist  MCSP, AACP, HPC

Diana graduated in 2011 from university of Brighton (BSc physiotherapy). Diana works across our 3 sites and primarily at our Laird clinic in Birkenhead
She has a keen interest in body movements, neuro- kinetic therapy, cranial therapy, breathing therapy and acupuncture. She has a wide base of skills and expertise and likes to offer complete rehabilitation of body and mind.
In her spare time Diana likes to study languages and health education. Her goal is to provide holistic, friendly and evidence-based treatment to my clients.

Tom McIver – Senior Physiotherapist, MCSP, HPC

Tom graduated from Manchester metropolitan university  in 2016 with a BSc in physiotherapy. He now works full time in Aintree university hospital as well as working part time with Woolton physiotherapy a few evenings a week
Tom has a special interest in manual techniques specifically based on the mulligan concept, lower limb injuries, sports related injury and back pain. He plays football and golf regularly as well as having a keen interest in hiking, mountain climbing and mountain biking.

John Wilkinson – MSCP, HPC

Staff John WilkinsonJohn graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Northumbria University 2013.

He works within the NHS full at the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospital NHS trust and offers his skills at our clinics part time. John has attended post grad courses and has a special interest in acupuncture, soft tissue knee Injury management and shoulder injury management. John likes to travel, ramble and walk up mountains

Laura works as a full time Dietician and is originally from Scotland. She graduated in food and nutrition back in Scotland 2000. She went on to get a Diploma in Dietetics from the University of Edinburgh in 2003. She moved to Merseyside 14 years ago for her first post as a qualified Dietician. She has since worked in a variety of hospital and community settings. Laura is highly experienced in working with patients both adults and paediatrics with complex clinical diseases such as Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel conditions, Weight Management, Oncology, Renal disease, Allergies, Metabolic conditions and much more. She has a professional interest and experience in Sports Dietetics and is committed to Continued Professional Development which aims to provide Dietary and Nutritional advice in accordance with current evidence based practice e.g. NICE                                                    guidelines  and research. Laura also teaches Pilates and has a keen interest in exercise.

Rachel Boden – Admin/Finance Manager

Staff Clare ShawRachel joined our team, working part-time in 2014. She was promoted in 2015 to Admin/Finance Manager and became full time. Rachel ensures the clinics are run smoothly on a day to day bases.  Previously Rachel worked for University of Liverpool for 17 years at the Cancer Research Centre, working her way up the ladder from receptionist to Data Manager.  She has completed numerous courses including BTEC administration, NVQs in customer service, business administration and team leading.
